In weapons’ competition, Josh McKenzie placed first in wooden weapons, under-17, for green to purple, while Josh Lawrence was first with the wooden and bladed weapons in the black division for under-18.

In the individual kumite, Dimpho Letloenyane won the title in the green to purple under-17 division, while Finley Nichols picked up two bronze medals.

At the under-12 level, Tristan du Plessis and Bryce Deutschmann claimed silver medals and Reuben Swart added a bronze to his gold medal, competing together with Molemo Mokoena.

Josh Lawrence ended the Nationals on a high note by claiming the men’s open division trophy in the unison kata.
