The Saint Andrew’s from Bloemfontein’s 1st team faced Sand du Plessis in a Coca-Cola National Schools T20 clash on Wednesday on Vossie’s Field, which, sadly, revealed a massive gulf in class between the two sides.

Batting first, Saints pummeled the Sannies’ bowlers from first ball to last.
Calvin Flanegan led the way, scoring a stunning unbeaten 207 off of only 61 deliveries. His innings included an incredible 22 sixes and 13 fours – 184 runs in boundaries!

Ruan Cronjé, who struck 93 not out off just 34 balls, smashed seven sixes and 10 fours, while Garnett Tarr made 61 from 21 deliveries, with five fours and five sixes.

Flanegan and Cronjé came together after 7.5 overs and proceeded to share in an unbroken stand of 260 off just 12.1 overs.

In total, Saints struck 35 sixes and 30 fours in a total of 400 for 2!
In reply, Sand du Plessis lasted only 10 overs, bowled out for a mere 29 as left-arm spinner Naleli Sekhibane, playing his first match for the 1st team, snared 5 for 3 in 5 overs.

Saints won by 371 runs!
