At the South African Road cycling championships Rinus Maarsingh and his father came 3 rd overall in the Tandem section.
During the past weekend our Top 6 squash players took part in the annual St Andrews festival.
Unfortunateley our number one player had to withdraw and a reserve player was called up for all the matches. This made the task at hand much bigger due to the fact that all of our players had to play one position up from where they normally would.
The results were as follows:

The U/14 A Cricket team competed against Selborne in a T20 and 40 over match
over the past weekend.
We won the toss at the start of the T20 match and selected to bat first.
We made 90 runs for the loss of six wickets with our best batsman being Ryno Annandale with 25 runs.
Selborne managed 65 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allowed 20 overs.
Our best bowler was Michael Kershaw with 1 wicket for 7 runs.
Grey won the match with 26 runs.

We bat first and made 167 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
Our best batsman was Muller Esterhuyse with 42 not out.
They scored 151 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
Our best bowler was Nabo Sokoyi with 3 wickets for 33 runs.
Grey won the match with 17 runs.

U/15C Cricket vs JF U15A
On Wednesday, 10 February the U/15 C cricket team played against Jim Fouche u/15A.
Grey batted first and got 130/8 .

Grey bowled out JF for 88 runs.
Best bowler: Niekie de Vries: 2 wickets for 17 runs.
Grey U15/C beat JF U/15A by 43 runs!
Grey /15D Cricket Team played Fichardt Park B Wednesday. Fichardt Park batted first and made 61 runs all out. M Meyer and A Potgieter each taking three wickets. Grey then batted and made the required runs without losing a wicket. D Booyens getting 25 runs and SP van Heerden 22.
GREY 2 VS SELBORNE T20 (Friday)

Grey scored 58 for the loss of 3
Andrew Callis dismissed 2 batsmen for a miserly 6 runs in his 4 overs.
Etienne Bellingan bowled exceptionally well and claimed 4 wickets for a mere 12 runs in his 4 overs.
Thian Botha scored 21 runs in 33 balls and ably assisted Brendan Callis, who scored 26 from 51 balls, in chasing down the moderate target.
Grey 2 won the T20 match by 7 wickets.
GREY 2 VS SELBORNE (Saturday)
Selborne opted to bat first on Saturday and ended on 164/7 after 40 overs.
Brandon Rudman bowled economically and only conceded 24 runs in his allotted overs, taking 1 wicket in the process.
Thian Botha dismissed 2 Selbornians for 27 runs.
After an initial hiccup, with the side deep in trouble on 35 for 4, Etienne Bellingan and Brandon Rudman batted maturely and managed to both score unbeaten 50s in chasing down the required score.
Etienne ended on 70 from 76 balls. Brandon scored a more patient 54 from 81 balls – his first for Grey.
Grey 2 won by 6 wickets.
It was a massive team effort and the players displayed true Grey spirit and determination to succeed.

On Friday Grey batted first and scored 165/6 in 20 overs. CP Klijnhans scored 64 (46). Selborne scored 95/9 in their 20 overs. Philip Visser took 3 wickets for 5 runs in 4 overs and NJ Stannard 3 wickets for 18 runs. Grey won by 70 runs.
On Saturday Selborne decided to bat first in a 40 over match and was bowled out for 117. Brian Kershaw was the pick of the bowlers and took 4 wickets for 28 runs in 8 overs. Grey scored 118/2 in 21 overs. Christopher Schreuder scored 31, Raynard van Tonder 36*and Dylan Frances 31*.
Grey won by 8 wickets.
