St Andrew’s Squash teams won four titles!!

Saint Andrew’s squash teams won four titles in the Bloemfontein Winter League, coming away as champions in the third, fifth, seventh and eighth leagues. Saints’ coach Calvin Deutschmann, meanwhile, helped the Saints Club to the First League title. Earlier in the year, John Kuhn, who was ranked number one in the country in the under-19 age group, represented South Africa at the World Junior Squash Championships. John Kuhn – St Andrew’s – Nr. 1 Squash player in SA!

John Kuhn, ranked the number one under-19 squash player in South Africa, received the Fred S Webber Award for Best Sporting Achievement at Saint Andrew’s Sports Awards Dinner on the weekend. Kuhn represented South Africa at the World Junior Squash Championships in Poland, where he reached the final of the consolation plate and was unbeaten in the South African Schools Interprovincial Tournament. He helped Saints to once again be crowned Free State champions and represent the province at the Top Schools tournament.
