The Saint Andrew’s 1st cricket team enjoyed a very successful weekend tour of Pretoria, taking on three of the capital city’s best teams and coming up with three good victories, which were punctuated by some outstanding individual performances. Loaded with six Free State under-19, two Free State under-17 and two Free State under-15 players, Saints prepared for their visit to Pretoria with a one-sided T20 victory over Fichardt Park. Saint Andrew’s said goodbye to the Matric class of 2017 at a Valedictory Service, which was held in the school’s Chapel, on Sunday, 15 October. The top sports’ achievers were honored at the annual Saint Andrew’s Sports Awards on 14 October in the school’s Clegg Centenary Hall. With Saints ranked among the top 10 schools  in the country in squash and hockey, and the number one team in the Free State in cricket, there were plenty of outstanding achievements to recognize.
